I thanks to Lecturer Mr. M.G. Raut and M.K. Banrgee (H.O.D.) to precise guide me into my project 12V DC power supply. The 12V power supply project is chosen by me because it’s most common power supply for all circuits and need for all hobbyist.





INTRODUCTION


To build a power supply that generates +12 volts and -12 volts from 230 AC mains. Such a supply is a very common requirement in all those circuits that use opamps. Since opamps are very widely used in variety of circuits of hobbyists’ interests, construction of this project could serve as a very useful tool in testing all those circuits that need a dual supply each of the output in the circuit shown in fig.1 has a current delivering capability of 250 mA. You would also discover this circuit to be an integral part of the more of the complex circuits that are mains operable.
